Our story
A trusted local practice with deep community roots
For more than 50 years, families in Narre Warren and the surrounding suburbs have trusted us with the care of their pets. Our purpose is simple: helping your friends enjoy healthier, longer lives.
Our experienced team of veterinarians, nurses and support staff is committed to ongoing learning, so your pet benefits from modern, evidence based medicine. Alongside everyday care, we offer specialised services including radioactive iodine therapy for cats, in-house pathology, ultrasound and platelet rich plasma therapy.
Most importantly, we take the time to listen, explain your options clearly and help you make the best decisions for your pet.

Our veterinarians
Dr Thomas
Practice Owner
Dr Thomas grew up on a farm in country Queensland, where he developed a lifelong love for animals. After more than 26 years as a veterinarian, he leads the practice with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Herbie the Bulldog often pops out to say hello at reception.
Dr Vincent
Lead Vet
Dr Vincent graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and holds a Masters of Veterinary Studies in Small Animal Practice. His interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine and geriatric care. He shares his home with Oliver the greyhound and one beehive.
Dr Candace
Veterinarian
Dr Candace joined the team in 2017 after graduating from the University of Melbourne. She has a special interest in diabetes and dermatology, and spends her spare time riding her three horses and relaxing with her two cats.
Dr Susi
Veterinarian
Dr Susi graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland and holds a GPCert in Small Animal Medicine. Her interests include ultrasonography, internal medicine and abdominal surgery. At home are her two greyhounds, Pod and Pluto.
Dr Melanie
Veterinarian
Dr Mel graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2013 and brings over a decade of small animal experience. She loves soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and brings a warm, down to earth approach to every consult.
Dr Chengqi
Veterinarian
Originally from Nanjing, Dr Chengqi graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2023 and has worked in emergency and rural mixed practice. He has a keen interest in anaesthesia and pain management.
Dr Daniel
Veterinarian
Dr Daniel graduated from the University of Melbourne and joined us in 2025. He enjoys the variety of general practice, and lives with Margot, a ginger cat with plenty of personality.
Nurses and support staff
Our nurses and receptionists are the friendly faces at the front counter, ready to help with health questions, diet, parasite control and more. In hospital, they care for every patient before, during and after their procedure.
Jess
Practice Manager
Jess has worked in the veterinary industry for over 18 years and holds degrees in Animal Science and Veterinary Bioscience. Her family farm is home to golden retrievers, cats, ponies and many more animals.
Jodie
Lead Veterinary Nurse
Jodie brings over 30 years of veterinary nursing experience, including nine years in animal shelter work. She leads our nursing team and makes sure every patient, and their humans, feel cared for.
Danielle
Veterinary Nurse
Danielle joined the team in 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. At home she shares her life with Kobe the golden retriever and rescue cats Crash and Stormy.
Vanessa
Veterinary Nurse
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Veterinary and Wildlife Science and helps run our Puppy School. Her animal family includes dogs, parrots, a bunny and the occasional rescue kitten.
Isabelle
Veterinary Nurse
Isabelle joined in 2023 and volunteers at her local wildlife shelter and as a volunteer lifesaver. She shares her home with two dogs, two horses and a dozen chickens.
Jane
Veterinary Receptionist
Jane is often the first friendly face you will see. With 14 years in animal welfare, her calm and compassionate nature helps every client and patient feel welcome.
